Inktober is a month-long challenge that artists take up to improve their skills. It is a challenge for artists who make marvelous creations using ink. Though this challenge was intended only for art with ink, many people who use the good old-fashioned pencil also take up this challenge.
The challenge is to create 31 arts for the 31 days of October. The main idea of Inktober is to making artists create one new piece of art every day. This develops a good discipline among the artists to practice their craft on a daily basis.
The thing that makes Inkotober challenging is not drawing every day but drawing according to the prompts. Prompts are themes. Every day of the month has a theme. The real challenge is showcasing the theme through the art.
Rules Of Inktober
Make a drawing in ink (pencil is also allowed).
Post it on any social media platform.
Use the hastag #inktober or inktober2021 on the post.
Repeat till the end of the month.
Though these are the official rules of Inktober the only rule that matters is challenging yourself to make art every day for a month. So, it is not only limited to traditional ink and pencil art on paper. Digital artists and graphic designers can also take part in the challenge. It is not necessary to post the artwork on social media if you do not wish to do so.
